Machu Picchu Tour starts in the city of Cusco, ride the train through the Urubamba valley, have overnight in the town of “Aguas Calientes” and explore the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu full day.
The route from Cusco till Machu Picchu is covered with plants and flowers– yellow, white and purple and myriads of sweet smelling herbs. Every little stream is covered with bright yellow flowers. These streams are all over the place – glistening and tinkling as they go on their way.

MACHU PICCHU TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1: CUSCO – “AGUAS CALIENTES” TOWN
06:00 a.m: Breakfast in the hotel.
Transfer from your hotel in Cusco between approx 06:40 a.m and 06:50 a.m.
2-hour train ride through the spectacular Urubanba valley to the town of “Aguas Clientes”.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy free time wandering the local markets, the botanical garden, new Machu Picchu museum or walk to “Mandor”.
Waterfall or climb the Putucusi Mountain.
In the evening, you can relax in the hot springs.
DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU- OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO
Early breakfast at 05:00 a.m at the hotel.
At 05:30 a.m take a bus for 25 minutes up to the entrance of Machu Picchu, that will be opened at 06:00 a.m (please have your passport on hand).
Enjoy the guided tour for 2-3 hours within Machu Picchu where you’ll visit the most important areas, viewpoints, temples, residences, best spots and all archaeological sites with the insights of very capable guides.
After the tour, you’ll have plenty of time for more exploration in your own, you also have time to climb the Wayna Picchu mountain.
In the afternoon, you’ll return to Cusco.

You only need to carry a small daypack with water bottle, camera, rain jacket/poncho, change of clothes, basic toiletries, sun hat/sunscreen, insect repellent, torch, comfortable sturdy shoes or hiking boots, extra money.
MACHU PICCHU TOUR PAYMENT FACTS
For two-day Machu Picchu Tour, we’ll require a non-refundable trek deposit of 150 USD per person. The deposit can be sent by a WESTERN UNION or to our BANK ACCOUNT by money transfer. This is the fastest and most secure form of payment in Peru. The money transfer should be in the name of “SUNRISE PERU TREK TOUR OPERATOR E.I.R.L”. Once you arrive in Cusco, you must pay the remaining balance in cash prior to beginning your tour. We accept both US Dollars and Peruvian Soles (local currency).
