Thank you very much for choosing us and for allowing us to take responsibility for providing you with a memorable experience here in Peru. We ask that you read our terms and conditions of our service carefully.
About costs.
Our costs are expressed in American dollars (US $) and before making any reservation, we ask that you voluntarily comply with the price that you are going to pay for the visit you will make. This is to avoid any inconvenience or dilemma regarding any previous complaints. Our prices are subject to change without prior notice, however, if you have already confirmed your reservation there will be no variation in the amount of money you had to pay for your Tour or Trek.
Important: Before confirming your purchase of entrance tickets Machu Picchu / Machu Picchu Huayna Picchu / Machu Picchu Montaña.
Please read the following information carefully regarding our terms and conditions for purchasing tickets.
1.- All prices are expressed in US dollars.
2.- Each ticket already has our agency fees and taxes included.
3.- If you are a student with an ISIC card, you must send us a copy. If you are a minor (-17 years old), you must also send us the copy of your passport.
4.- PayPal payments have a payment rate of 7% and visa payment plus 5%. the client must assume it.
5.- Once the ticket has been purchased, there is NO way to get a refund.
6.- In the event that we cannot buy your ticket, we will refund the full amount.
7.- Once the ticket has been purchased, there is NO way to make any changes.
8.- Inca Trail Tour Operator will send you your invoice and your ticket in PDF format as well as the reservation code to print through the government site.
9.- All purchases will be made within 24 hours, except holidays or Sundays. If so, it may take 48 hours.
10.- We does not assume any responsibility if you have lost or forgotten your ticket. Incorrect data, strike, any situation that could prevent you from entering the citadel of Machu Picchu.

About the type of Trips and Treks we offer: Inca Trail Tour Operator offers the following types of Tours and Treks.
Restriction and / or condition.
In some tours we will need a minimum of people to confirm the departure. If we do not get the minimum number of people, the departure will be automatically canceled. Before making the reservation, you must accept this condition. Either way, we will inform you if the tour has restrictions or conditions. Or you can see it in the itinerary.
Inexpensive Service.
Please understand that we will sometimes need to use the services of other agencies or tour operators. In this case, depending on the type of trip, the tourist must strictly comply with all other regulations required by the other travel agency, as well as guides, schedules and everything that is included in the tour. We will do everything possible so that you can have a very good experience throughout your Trip/Trek, while we work with other travel agencies or companies. We ask for your full cooperation and understanding. Within the groups that use our Economic Service, the minimum number of people is 12 to 16 people maximum.
Exclusive Service.
When you travel with Inca Trail Tour Operator (Sunrise Peru Trek Travel & Treks), we guarantee that all aspects of your visit will be carried out by us. With the exclusive service, we will only operate with tourists who use our company. We will not share any services with any other travel agency. We will assign you an exclusive travel guide that will always be with you. Throughout this tour the minimum number of people allowed in the group is 2 to 4 people and the maximum number is around 10 people. The average number of people in our groups is between 6 and 8 people per group.
Private Service.
When traveling in the private service, we guarantee that we will complete our trips in their entirety. We will provide a private guide just for you.
Luxury Service.
When you travel with us in the Luxury Service, we guarantee that we will complete the trips in their entirety. We will make sure to assign you an escort who will accompany you throughout your Trip/ Trek, from start to finish. We will provide an estimate of our luxury service for you.
OVERWHELMING FORCE.
Includes any incident that we cannot avoid. When looking for a way to solve problems, these events consist of wars or threats to oneself, protests, riots, diseases, natural disasters, inclement weather, fires or any other similar event beyond our control. In this case, we will not be responsible for any of the aforementioned events and reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel the trip (which would be the last resort for us).
In the event of strikes, demonstrations, blockades, etc., we may have to leave a day earlier or make the trip in a few days less, changing routes. Without any additional cost and / or outlay on our part, you agree that you agree to any inconvenience that may arise.
Regarding the reservation of the Inca Trail 4 days or 2 days:
Once you have booked the trek, we will not be able to make any changes to the Trek, as everything is controlled by the RDC (Decentralized Management of the Culture of Cusco). We do not allow modifications. After having made the reservation, which will have been established by law, cancellations and / or waiting list do not work with the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
TRAVEL INSURANCE.
Before starting your trip, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance, which will cover accidents, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, including air rescue or air ambulance.
We also recommend that your travel insurance cover any cancellation or loss of luggage. If you wish, you can send us a scanned copy of your policy to our email address or have a confidential family member or friend stamp it.
RISKS.
For reservation for any of our Trips/ Treks you understand the risks that are involved and that you fully assume the risks that are involved during your travel with us. We do not assume any responsibility for anything that may happen on the way, due to tourist negligence or any other event beyond our control.
LIABILITY:
We do not assume any responsibility for accidents, damages, illnesses, death, delays and injuries to other people or property. We also do not assume any responsibility for causes of overwhelming force, such as strikes, adverse weather conditions, earthquakes, political situations, etc., that could lead to cancellations, modifications or delays, etc. The client will have to pay additional charges, due to situations like this that may arise. We are not responsible for the loss of luggage, theft or any type of damage to your luggage, it being understood that you travel at your own risk.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify the planned itinerary when it considers it for the better development of our services.
It is the client’s responsibility to carry the appropriate documents such as: passports, visas, travel insurance, vaccinations, vouchers, receipts, etc. that you must have with you when you enter Peru and for the Tours and Treks that you will do. We are not responsible for delays or additional costs that result from having bad documents or lack of travel documents of any kind.
About risk and liability.
We will need you to sign and fingerprint our risk and liability form. This should be done when you visit our office or at one of our meetings. Our meetings will require you to arrive at our offices before the start of your Trip or Trek. You must meet all of our requirements before purchasing any of our Trips or Treks.
Personal information is required to make a reservation for our Tours or Treks.
To confirm a reservation, we will need you to send us the information of all the people who will be traveling with you during your visit. When submitting your personal information for the reservation, we will need your full name, nationality and age. Your passport or ID number must be correct and valid. Take into account that the authorities that control the entrance to archaeological sites, especially the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (Short or long Trek), are not very kind when it comes to handling your documentation. What we ask of you is that all the information you send us is correct and valid. The ISIC card (if applicable) must also be valid and must be presented at the entrance to the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, along with the document you used to make your reservation (your passport or your personal identity card).
Discounts for students and minors
Students who have an ISIC card and / or are minors, in some trips will benefit from a reduction and for this reduction to be valid you must send us a scanned document or an image of your document. The copy or image of your document must be legible.
ABOUT PRE-PAYMENTS AND PAYMENTS.
To secure and confirm your reservation for a Tour or Trek, it is necessary that you have the confirmation of your payment. In some cases, you will need 100% of the payment, and in other cases we will only need you to pay part of the cost of your visit. Then the rest of your payment will be made once you arrive in Cusco.
Confirmation of a reservation.
We will always confirm your reservation and when we have received all the necessary requirements, in particular the start date of the Tour or Trek and any other date, the dates in your passport and the confirmation of your payment. If any of this information is missing with your reservation, it will not be possible to confirm your reservation at all. Confirmation of a reservation could be delayed between 2 hours to 48 hours during weekdays.
Regarding the purchase of tickets for train, bus, plane, entrance to archaeological sites, etc., the payment of any type of purchase of tickets outside or in a package is not refundable. You must accept that you agree to these rules before confirming the purchase of your tickets.
PAYMATNS METHODS:
PAYPAL: For payments made by PayPal, the client must add a percentage of the commission, of which he will be informed before confirming his reservation normally is the 7%.
Bank Transfer: For payments made abroad to our checking account, the client must add an additional amount, which will be informed before booking. When receiving money from outside Peru by bank transfer, the amount received can sometimes vary and be less than expected. Once the transfer is made, we will notify you of the exact amount of the payment that we have received.
VISA: Compared with other types of payments that we have, paying with a VISA card represents a commission of 5%. However, in the event that we need to reimburse you in any way, a 5% fee will be charged to your card. In the total amount of your purchase, we will have to calculate the refund in full. We will have to subtract all purchases made such as the purchase of entrance tickets, payment of hotels, suppliers, taxes and any administrative costs.
Meetings before your Tour or Trek.
One or two nights before the departure of your Tour or Trek, we will have a briefing at our offices or at your hotel. In some cases, this can be over the phone. Meetings generally take place between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. However, the exact time and place of the meeting will be confirmed. This meeting is only so that we can coordinate the trip with you and provide you with all the necessary information about the Tour or Trek. We will also remove any questions or concerns you may have during the meeting.
About Payment of your final balance.
We ask you to pay the final balance for your Tour or Trek in our office or in your hotel at the time of our meeting. This must be before the starting date of your Tour or Trek (in US dollars or soles). We reserve the right to cancel your trip if you do not make the full payment before your Tour or Trek.
CANCELLATIONS:
1. If you have sent us only part of the purchase cost or prepaid a reservation you have made, this payment will not be refundable or transferable.
2. If you paid for your purchase in full and canceled your Tour or Trek 5 days or more before the starting date, we can refund you by subtracting all purchases made for your Tour or Trek, such as travel tickets. Train, bus tickets, entrance tickets, hotels, taxes, payment to suppliers, administrative payments, etc.) The remaining amount that you send us will require that we subtract the fees and / or commissions that you send us. If the cancellation had been made 4 days before the start of your trip, we will not be able to return the payment, as this will lead us to consider it NO SHOW.
3. We must be informed of any change or cancellation of your Tour or Trek as soon as possible. You must be sure of the changes and send us an email to inform us. Once the trip is canceled, there will be no way to change this at all.
4. Once the final payment has been made, it will no longer be possible to return the payment for the cancellations made.
VERY IMPORTANT.
We strongly suggest that you stay at a high altitude (at least 3000 meters above sea level, in Cusco or another high altitude city) for the 3 or 4 days (minimum) before departing on your Tour or Trek. This is to get us to minimize the possible illnesses that could result from being at high altitudes. You can also help your body in this way acclimatize. To acclimatize, you will need to drink plenty of fluids, add a little sugar to your drinks, eat foods that are high in carbohydrates, avoid tobacco and alcohol, and drink coca tea (an ancient and traditional tea leaf). The use of Diamox can also be helpful. Ask your doctor for a prescription.
