ITINERARY FOR MACHU PICCHU HUAYNAPICCHU TOUR

Day 1: Arrive to Cusco

Tips: The altitude in Cusco is about 3,400m above sea level. Take time out to relax and acclimate to the high altitude after arrival at your hotel. We recommend that you avoid strenuous activity for the first few days. It is advisable that you not take showers. For first time visitors, it is common to have different degrees of high altitude sickness symptom. Drink more water, have fresh fruit and plenty of rest will help to prevent the sickness. Have a good rest tonight, and get ready for tomorrow’s journey.

Day 2: Maras & Moray

Highlights: Today you will visit the salt mines of Maras & the Inca terraces of Moray in the afternoon you’ll take the train to the town of Aguas

Calientes.08:00 a.m. Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco.
Visit the traditional market at the town of Chinchero where you could purchase some items directly from the producers.
Explore the Inca terraces of Moray; where you’ll see extraordinary Inca agricultural system.
Explore the salt mines of Maras
Take the train for two hours through Urubamba valley to the town of “Aguas Calientes”.

Day 3: Machu Picchu Tour & Climb Huaynapicchu Mountain

Highlights: Today you will visit the Iconic MAchu Picchu and climb the Mountain of Huayna Picchu.

05:00 a.m. Breakfast in the hotel.
At 06:30 a.m, we’ll take a bus for 25 minutes up to Machu Picchu.
Enjoy the guided tour for 2 or 3 hours.
After the tour, you’ll climb the mountain of Waynapicchu which takes two hours to go up and return.
After all, you must take the bus and return to the town of “Aguas Calientes” where you could enjoy your lunch.
Overnight in the town of Aguas Calientes

Day : 4 Return to Cusco & Transfer Out

06:30 a.m. Breakfast in the hotel.
At 08:00 a.m, take the train and return to the train station of Ollantyatmbo then transfer to your hotel in Cusco to pick up your belongings and transfer to the airport

Tickets: All entrance fees are included for Maras & Moray Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu.
Train Tickets: Train tickets are in Expeditions tourist class, from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes is and from Aguas Calientes to Ollanatyatmbo.
Transfers : No matter which train you take from Machu Picchu to Cusco, the transfer back from train station to your hotel is included
Huayna Picchu Entrance: Huayna Picchu is the mountain that stands next to Machu Picchu. It is a 45 minute hike to the top. Going back down is quite steep, if you are scared of heights. This is done without your tour guide, after your tour of Machu Picchu.
